NU really messed up here. That much has been obvious from the get-go. But in an article about crisis communications, might there have been a clearer summation of what should have happened instead of just a rehash of what did happen? There’s a throw-away line about admitting the truth and organizational culpability, but no follow through in terms of that is really the heart of the matter: What might have been a better way to handle this. Why was each step so disastrous? When one is told a tsunami is coming, what should one do?
